"Ways
of studying" has become one of the biggest problems for the brilliant
students of this age. But, don't worry I have some secrets to reveal on you
that can make you a real genius in your own way. We both know "The fittest
and the best survives" and those who give up, what about them? Nobody asks
about them.
Following
are the factors that affect your activities and waste your time mostly. Let's
discuss them:
- Sleeping time
- Sports
- Exercising
- Adjusting the mood
- Maintaining healthy diet
- Adjusting best time to study
Sleeping Habits
Get
at least 7 – 9 hours sleep in the night not of the day. This will enhance your
"Brain Plasticity" and your brain will be quick in response and
inputting information. It will help you to study better and keeps you more
attentive. Research has shown that sleep boosts the removal of waste products
from your brain and this process slows down when you are awake. Less sleep can
also result in forgetting your work faster.
Diet
Take
care of your food and diet. I am not saying to go on a diet, eat specific
amounts not bulks of unhealthy foods. Take diet that is beneficial for your
brain. Your brain is 60% fat and half of it is omega-3s kind (2) and fish like
salmon, trout and sardines is a great source. Brain uses it to make new nerve
cells and brain tissues and results in improving your memory and mood and
protecting you from brain diseases like Alzheimer. Drinking coffee in the
morning is also beneficial and keeps your brain attentive during the whole day.
Some more foods like turmeric, nuts, eggs, dark chocolate etc. Enhance brain
functioning.
Sports and Exercise
Sports
are no less important. I am explaining them together because "Exercise is
a sport and sport is exercise." Exercise and sports play an important role
in your life. Adjust them at the time when you have completed your 7-9 hour
sleep but you still feel dizziness. So, playing something and exercising will
activate your brain fully. Recent studies have shown that we should exercise
for at least 30 minutes in a day. So, don't forget this part of your routine.
Adjusting your mood
Your
mood is of great importance. You can only perform well if you have the mood to
do it. Now, my concern is that students should remain happy and they shouldn't
feel depressed and aggrieved. This affects your brain. Depression can cause
your Hippocampus to shrink 10% leading to memory problems. So, whenever you
feel depressed, try to daw your attention to reading, playing, eating,
listening music etc. Mood has direct connection with your brain and it affects
your brain directly.
Adjusting best time to study
This
will be bad to say, "You should study in the morning or at night."
The best thing is you should study at the time when your body is relaxed and
your mind is ready to explore more and more until it explodes. Now, you say
that you get this feeling once in a month or a year. That's really bad. You
didn't listen to me attentively. I was saying that, study at the time when your
brain is fully attentive and have no tension on it. After a nice sleep you
drink coffee then to remove the sleepiness you play some sport or do some
exercise. After doing all that your brain is obviously fully attentive. I
wasn't asking you to observe your routine and find out time when your brain is
fully active. Of course I know that we don't pay attention to ourselves instead
of looking beautiful and more attracted. Now, if you really think there is
another time for your brain activeness then it is good, you should utilize that
time to get the maximum. You know the formula for getting maximum product,
"increase the reactants, adjust conditions, keep the waste product
production rate low and you will get the maximum result."Reactant" is
your focus, not time that you give to the study then adjust the conditions mean
your schedule or routine and result is maximum marks. That was easy. Let me
explain a thing to you that is the backbone of this article and one of the most
important concerns.
Focus
Focus
is the base that I told you in whole article. It's like this; playing a sport
or a game is never like, you are playing the game and also watching your
favourite shows on T.V. you need focus to play games. Everything demands focus.
We cannot do multiple things at a time. Adjusting mood also requires focus,
when feeling depressed you cannot do anything because you are already focusing
on the depressing thoughts and not paying attention to current work. When you
are eating, playing or listening to music, it will draw your focus and helps in
forgetting those thoughts and you feel better. When you sleep, you are
obviously focusing at sleep and remember sleep walking is totally a different
condition in it. Now you know what your focus can help you achieve. I also said
reactant is the focus that you give. Mostly you try to study but instead of
studying you start playing or dreaming and getting lost into your thoughts.
Everything demands focus, when you study with focus, you learn much faster and
factors like these; sports, exercising, sleeping, mood adjusting etc. All of
them increase your concentration and focus in working. After practicing the
focus on those activities you finally get ready to yield the product by giving
a smash of focus on your studies.
