What is Allodoxaphobia?
Despite of practical, conscious and stable understanding about oneself, a person can suffer from a phobia called Allodoxaphobia is an extremely unwarranted fear, or an aversion to opinions bestowed upon you.

Allodoxaphobia

Regular and frequent emergence of such irrational fears gets categorized as a psychological disorder, or one of the phobias; termed as Allodoxaphobia. Ignorance to such conditions can get worse, and you might get into the state of panic, stress and excessive isolation. This is a condition that can manifest at any stage of your life. Such fear of opinion predominate human consciousness at a very young age and in general emerges during puberty in both the genders.


Origin

Allodoxaphobia originates from the Greek term allo that stands for “different”, -dox for “opinion”, and –phobos meaning “fear.” Literally, the term means a kind of fear caused by different opinions that can further lead to tremendous mental stress and panic in the person.

Symptoms

Allodoxaphobia can be identified, if you are having –
·         Short temper for every small and big opinion
·         Insecurity towards social status
·         Flight or fight kind mental stress
·         Panic in social gathering
·         Increased heart rate and sweating in community event
·         Shallow breathing and nausea in public speaking


Causes

Childhood is a tender stage for any human being. Traumas and abused personal relations can cause serious harm to the mental growth of the child. Some serious instances of confrontation or regular suppression during childhood are common reasons for many phobias. Among all the possible phobias, Allodoxaphobia is the most common of all. It is thus very important to give a child a healthy childhood, a childhood that is free of panic mental stress. 

Medication

In case of serious Allodoxaphobia, it is highly recommended that you take medication from a reputed psychologist. some drugs can help you get rid of severe stress and panic mental state, but that is actually very temporary. Some sessions with the psychologist is very helpful. However, if you are confident of yourself, it is better that you try to handle the condition all by yourself.
