“Women’s place is not in the Kitchen”... oh really!!

If you are a woman who believes that the points noted below, should change, then this open letter is for you, my dear lady. Read it cautiously criticise my points, if you really canJ

Do you believe that –
·         women do not belong to the kitchen,
·         women should be treated equally, and that
·         oppressive perceptions towards women should change

Now, the foremost thing to be noted here is that as women we always wanted to be treated like those Hindu Goddesses. Goddesses here mean particularly like, Maa Durga. But how many of us are ready or rather capable of going through the multitasking image of Maa Durga. Believe me my dear ladies, if you are really multitasking and at the same time enjoying every bit of it, you will never have time to think of all those bullets points that i mentioned above.

Be the Goddess

Blessed are those women who are having a husband (rather a grown up child), having kids (not just 1 kid), and an earning source. If you look around, you will feel, how extensively blessed you are with all those things that completes your womanhood. As you get engaged in your daily chores and meeting professional deadlines; you get stressed, lose your glamour, and hardly get time to take care of yourself. At the same time, if you see the brighter side of it, you will realise that as you are engaged in your multitasking image you gain the power over all those people who are around you. You get indispensable. Never expect to be praised or helped, rather enjoy your capacity of balancing your work and your home. It is here that you emerge as a Goddess, and believe me it is a great feeling, which will glow your skin without any facialJ.

Why the Kitchen
As for being in the kitchen, there is no harm in it. Yes, it is tiresome and exhausting. But my dear lady, just think how your kids, your husband, and all the other family members are counting on you for their meal. See the status of being Annapurna (Goddess of food and nourishment). In the same way, as you earn you become Goddess Laxmi. As you help your kids with their studies, you turn up as Goddess Saraswati. You are a Goddess in every step of your life, enjoy the privilege and do not get contaminated by so-called Feministic rebels against oppression. These are done by people who refuse to get out of their comfort zone, and are not capable of performing all these responsibilities, all at the same time. The really oppressed and tortured soul will hardly have the mindset, scope or energy to get decked up and give feministic speeches. They will rather go for justice in the real sense.  Do not get carried away with some hypocrites or so-called social reformers who hardly have time to help their children with homework, or prepare the dinner for the family.

Nurture the Future
If you still believe in the aforementioned bulleted points, then please nurture a son to be the Perfect Man that you ever imagined. Turn you son into a man who can really take care of his wife, his children, can do all the cooking and cleaning, and above all he enjoys every bit of it. Grow a daughter who enjoys every household chore, performs great at football.  None but only the mother has the power to create the stereotypes, and at the same time she is the one who can break it all.  If you are the lucky one to be a mother you get the authority to nurture positive kids, avail it totally.

Welcome Womanhood
Your life, your image is what you think of yourself. Do not get blown away in the name of equality or oppression. Do justice to your womanhood, to your profession. Stop complaining, breakaway your comfort zone, and respect the entity that you are blessed with. Understand the transformation from girlhood to womanhood. If you are a strong woman, then start enjoying your responsibilities. Not everyone is so privileged, my dear.

Cheers to life..
