AS NATURE GETS DISCOVERED IN MUNNAR

Guuud Maauuurning…”  is an expression that delights anybody on earth, and when it is accompanied by a warm smile and a hot cup of tea, picked up fresh from the garden itself; it just makes the day.
Munnar is the place for this fresh charm of life. You get a very delightful morning with the sight of young people picking up tea leaves for the hot cup of tea in your hand. Sooner you recall the melodious words of Wordsworth,
Behold her single in the field,
Yon solitary highland lass…
and you begin your day with all zeal and spirit. No matter what time of day it is; no matter what’s the hour, the freshness always accompanies you. You just feel the hue throughout the day. The climate is as pleasant as a newlywed bride.

Munnar is amidst huge mountains yet with all touches of human civilization. There’s green mountains in every glance, waterfalls in every turn, the drizzling droplets, the cool atmosphere just turns you on. The tea gardens are planned in such a systematic way that it gives the mountains a modern patterned look. The streams and dams add more to this charm. They are channelised so naturally that the beauty gets inhaled in every breath, as if the nature has been curved in the most disciplined way. It’s a land of fresh flowers and vegetation. Sandalwoods and Eucalyptus are grown here, and the fragrance gets melt in air. You get various showpieces made of rosewood. It’s a place where you will find boards like “NOT JUST ORDINARY PLANT BUT A PART OF CULTURE”. These are about no mere shrubs but are Neel Kurunjis. Neel Kurunjis are the purpled blue flower that grows after every twelve years and covers the mountains of Rajamalaya. They look dull and dead throughout, but as they resurrect the whole of Rajamalaya gets bloomed with a unique and exclusive display of nature’s beauty.
The forests comprises of various wild animals especially elephants, reindeers, various whistling birds. But strangely enough they exist simultaneously with human being, as if they have learnt the way of mutual understanding. The rainfalls give the place a chilling coldness. The fireplaces are burnt throughout the year. Quilts and blankets are must. Sweaters and socks are necessary for guests. Glasses are dipped in frost while the sky is crystal clear after every rain.
Amidst all the hustle and bustle of techno life, if you really want to give your soul some peace and want to have a cozy nap then undoubtedly there can’t be any other choice then Munnar. The silence and the comfort in the lap of nature are indeed in Munnar. Its beauty will engross you, release all your tiredness and will gear you up for a new beginning. You will fall in love with woods and greeneries.
